Fairvern Volunteering and Donations

The Friends of Fairvern is a voluntary organization, founded in 1982 as a support system for the Fairvern Home.

The Friends have coordinated various fundraising activities over the years including Annual Tag Days, Bake and Craft Sales, baking and selling frozen pies and charity BBQ’s.  The money raised is used to support the Residents with the purchase of items requested by the Home.

The Friends also support activities and events at Fairvern and give on average 4900 hours of volunteer service per year.

• All gifts to Fairvern are greatly appreciated and tax deductible.

• In Memoriam donations are gifts made in memory of a deceased loved one or friend. They are a wonderful way to remember someone and support Fairvern at the same time.
• In Honour donations are gifts made to recognize a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. You can make a gift in honour of your own special celebration or in the name of a family member or loved one.

By remembering us in your estate and financial plans you will be helping to optimizing the residents as well receive a tax donation receipt.

Examples include: Bequests under a will, endowments/legacies, insurance policies, and charitable gift annuities, gifts in kind such as stocks, bonds and real estate property.
